Dr Geoff Goodwin visits Indonesian universities to build research and teaching partnerships

Dr Geoff Goodwin, Co-Director of the Centre For Global Development, gave a guest lecture on water and environmental politics at Universitas Indonesia (UI), Jakarta on 15th September. The lecture was part of a series of activities organised by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Leeds to develop research and teaching links with Indonesian universities.

During the visit, Dr Goodwin met with representatives from the Department of International Relations at Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR), Bandung, where former POLIS PhD researcher, Dr Stanislaus Risadi Apresian, is Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.

PhD training workshop was also held at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, which supported Indonesian students and academics applying to UK doctoral programmes.

Dr Goodwin looks forward to developing these partnerships and welcoming Indonesian students and academics to Leeds.
