CGD is part of the new GCRF 'Water Hub' project.

Eighty per cent of the world’s population live in areas threatened by water security yet efforts to resolve this are repeatedly thwarted by pressures such as pollution, extreme weather, urbanisation, over-abstraction of groundwater and land degradation.

In response to this challenge Newcastle University is leading a major new project which brings together leading global experts from academia, industry and government to understand the true value of water and address the issue of water security for all. The University of Leeds, through the Centre for Global Development is one of the project partners.
