YASN Event: Africa in Yorkshire and Yorkshire in Africa

We are pleased to invite you to join us for the Yorkshire African Studies Network (YASN) organised by the University of Leeds at Leeds on 21st of May 2024. We are excited that the event themed ‘Africa in Yorkshire and Yorkshire in Africa’ will commence with a keynote speech by Professor Jok Madut Jok, a Medical Anthropologist based at Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, New York, USA. The event will proceed with interactive discussions about African Studies, Partnerships, Collaborations, and the Future of YASN.
The event will be organised around the following broad thematic areas:
1.            African scholars in the West: Opportunities and Challenges:
2.            PRG-facing activities including Poster Presentations.
3.            Doing research in different contexts
4.            Partnerships and Collaborations
5.            The Future of the Network
