In May, RidNet hosted a seminar by two speakers from the Department for International Development (DFID): Sue Kinn, head of health research, and Malcolm McNeil, senior health advisor, both in DFID’s Research and Evidence Division.
Sue and Malcolm spoke about DFID’s approach to research, with a focus on health. They discussed issues such as the way DFID’s approach has changed over the years, how DFID decides what research to fund, the different types of organisation that DFID works with for research, and DFID views on effective approaches to dissemination.
