Summer School

The Centre for Global Development offers Summer Schools for those interested in learning about international development from an interdisciplinary perspective. As a student at our Summer School you will participate in lectures and interactive workshops taught by experts in their fields drawn from a number of different Departments and Faculties at the University of Leeds. The sessions will provide you with an introduction to thinking about some of the most important issues in contemporary global development.

The Summer School is targeted at individuals who are interested in development, thinking about doing a degree in international development, or are thinking about a career change towards a field in international development.  We particularly welcome applications from partnering WUN institutions.

I have relished the opportunity to spend time with like-minded people to discuss development issues. The sessions have been varied and thought-provoking, and the mix of lectures and role play has been good.” Feedback from Summer School 2015 participant

It was especially good to be able to consider such a wide range of issues and particularly how they relate in complex ways. You learn so much through discussions with people from so many disciplines and backgrounds with different views and perspectives.” Feedback from Summer School 2015 participant
